Everad® switches to 100% PCR recycled packaging: for a circular economy!

-November 2024-

Concerned about the impact of its plastic packaging on the environment, Everad Adhesives is always looking for materials that respect our environment, safe practices and more sustainable solutions

After making improvements to our IBCs and cartridges, we continue our improvements with our jerrycans. Our blue 20-liter jerrycans made with 100% virgin PE materials will soon be replaced by grey ones made with 100% PCR recycled materials.

PCR is the abbreviation for "Post-Consumer Recycled" or "post-consumer recycled plastic". This means that PCR packaging is made from post-consumer plastic waste, the largest waste stream in the world! Recycling this waste to create a new raw material makes it a very ecological solution.

In order to manufacture PCR plastics, waste is sorted, cleaned, and then crushed to obtain PCR granules. These granules will then be transformed to give life to new products from this circular economy, such as the jerrycans that Everad Adhesives will use.

What are the benefits of this PCR packaging?

Recycling used plastics has a positive impact on the environment and represents many advantages:

- Reduction of CO2 emissions

- Reduction of water consumption

- Reduction of energy consumption

- Reduction of the quantity of waste

- Can be recycled after use

- Contributes to a circular economy
