Foams can neither be sewn, riveted, nor nailed so our innovative adhesives are the perfect way to bond them to one another or to other materials. Depending on the intended purpose and on design considerations diverse requirements can be imposed on such bonds. In most cases, the chosen adhesive must be compatible not only with the foams but also with production processes.
Everad’s foam adhesives address all of these constraints. They bond foams with rigid materials such as wood, metal or plastic as well as with soft and flexible substrates including textiles, leathers, nonwovens, and other foam types.
Depending on the application, specific characteristics such as heat resistance or spray patterns can be adjusted with great precision. Everad’s experienced specialists are competent advisors when developing innovative solutions in the realm of foams.
Adhesive joints that are neither visible nor palpable: our high-tech adhesives are formulated in such a way that they preserve and in some instances even enhance the positive properties of the foam. For example, the comfort of seats and mattresses is often improved by the fact that the adhesive remains soft and is thus not felt. Flame retardant adhesives also improve the level of safety in aircraft, trains, and ships. Others lose their colour after bonding, so that foams can be covered with bright or thin fabrics.
